Controller and contact

Swit SRL, Chemin du Breuil 38, 7812 Ath, Belgium, VAT BE 0877.927.204, is the controller of data collected through this site. For questions or requests about your data: contact@swit.be.

Data and purposes

The form collects your name, email address, subject and message to handle and respond to your enquiry. These details are required to use the form; you may also email us directly. Do not include passwords or installation access credentials. The information is sent to the server and then emailed to SWIT. The form does not create a record in a website database.

Legal basis

Quotation and service requests rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), where applicable. Other correspondence, including business enquiries, relies on Swit SRL’s legitimate interest in responding to requests and managing contacts (Article 6(1)(f)). Form protection and technical security processing rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Recipients and retention

Information is intended for authorised people at Swit SRL handling your enquiry. OVHcloud provides technical hosting for the website and email. The contact@swit.be mailbox is hosted exclusively by OVHcloud, without automatic forwarding to another email service.

Enquiries with no follow-up are deleted no later than 12 months after the last exchange. If an enquiry becomes a customer file, necessary information is handled for the contractual relationship and applicable legal obligations. The 12-month period does not apply to records that must be retained for those purposes.

Session and technical logs

A technical session cookie protects the form and links the antispam check to your session. It is configured as a session cookie without a persistent lifetime; its closure depends on your browser’s behaviour. The verification token expires after one hour. The website code adds no advertising trackers, audience analytics or local storage.

OVHcloud generates technical logs that may include IP address, time, requested URL and error information to operate and secure the hosting. Retention depends on the OVHcloud service and configuration. Contact us for details applicable to these logs.

Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Send requests to contact@swit.be. We normally respond within one month; any permitted extension will be explained. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
